Dr. Itay Yagel is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, with a subspecialty in gynecological oncology, with extensive experience in supporting women facing complex medical challenges – with a sensitive, professional and attentive approach.
Dr. Yagel is a senior physician in the gynecological oncology department at Sheba Medical Center – Tel Hashomer, one of the leading medical institutions in Israel. As part of his role, he treats patients suffering from malignant diseases of the female reproductive system – cervical, endometrial, ovarian and uterine cancer – and combines advanced clinical knowledge with high surgical skill, both in open and minimally invasive approaches.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Yagel has performed complex gynecological oncological surgeries, worked to preserve fertility in young women struggling with disease, and provided personal counseling and treatment to BRCA carriers and Lynch syndrome carriers.
He received his medical training at Semmelweis University in Hungary, and completed his residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Sheba Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in gynecological oncology at Imperial College London – one of the leading centers in this field in Europe.
In parallel with his work at the hospital, Dr. Yagel also receives patients in a private setting – to perform gynecological examinations, routine tests, oncogynecological counseling, and tailor personal treatments to each woman’s needs.
