Preparing for your visit and what happens afterwards
Come without make-up, and without nail polish if your nails are part of the complaint. Bring any photographs of the lesion over time, pathology results of lesions removed in the past, and a list of preparations you have tried. For a full mole check, wear clothes that are easy to remove. You leave with a written summary of the diagnosis, treatment plan and follow-up date. When a biopsy has been taken, the pathology result is explained with the next steps, and any further treatment is coordinated with the surgical service or hospital. With your consent the summary also goes to your family doctor.
