About Dr. Nimrod Dar – Senior Ophthalmologist

Dr. Nimrod Dar is a senior ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma at Meir Medical Center and at “Ein Tal” Medical Center, where he performs cataract and glaucoma surgeries, with a particular focus on minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

He holds a medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from the same institution. Dr. Dar completed his ophthalmology residency at Meir Medical Center and pursued additional advanced training in glaucoma surgery at the same hospital. He later completed a prestigious fellowship in glaucoma and cataract surgery at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Canada, one of the leading ophthalmology centers in North America. During this period, he gained extensive experience with advanced and innovative surgical techniques, particularly in the treatment of complex glaucoma and cataract cases.

Dr. Dar is actively involved in clinical research in the field of glaucoma. He regularly publishes academic papers in professional journals and presents his findings at both national and international conferences. In addition, he plays a key role in training medical students and ophthalmology residents, especially in surgical education, at Meir Medical Center.
